Quick Take
- Off The Grid deathmatch arenas expand with new maps, Stork City, and OCIO
- Red Ant Battle Pass introduces Cyberlancer traversal kits and aggressive operator skins
- Anti-cheat system now enforces real-time bans and public callouts
Avalanche’s flagship game, Off The Grid, brings two fresh deathmatch arenas: Stork City and OCIO, alongside an anti-cheat infrastructure, bring in a competitive format to the F2P extraction royale game as a successive update to the latest Red Ant Battle Pass and PC vs Console Content Packs.
New Deathmatch Arenas
Stork City is a vertical battlefield packed with high-rise interiors, narrow crossover points, and sudden elevation shifts. The design encourages mobility-heavy plays and fast-paced gunfights across stacked floors. OCIO goes in a different direction, offering an open, resort-themed layout with long lines of sight and multiple elevated entry zones. The contrast between the two is shaping early meta shifts, especially in ranked team deathmatch queues.
Both arenas are now part of the core Off The Grid deathmatch arenas pool and available in custom lobbies. This marks the first significant expansion the the game’s map selection since launch, and performance across these environments is under active review.
Alongside new arenas, this update also launches Off The Grid’s most visible anti-cheat implementation to date. A new automated system scans in real-time and removes flagged accounts mid-match. Bans are final and visible through in-game kill feed notifications. There is no appeal path built into the system at launch. Anti-Cheat Division-themed cosmetics have also been added to the Battle Pass, including weapon wraps, operator skins, and visual tags.
Other Updates In Off The Grid: Red Ant Battle Pass and PC vs Console Content Packs
Traversal plays a central role in the new update. Section 2 of the Red Ant Battle Pass unlocks Cyberlancers, gear sets that allow sudden, directional bursts for aerial engagement or retreat. The kits are tuned for momentum, pairing well with Stork City’s vertical pathways and OCIO’s open flanks. No adjustments to damage output have been announced; Cyberlancer functionality focuses strictly on movement.
The Red Ant Battle Pass itself leans into its name with highly stylized, aggressive character sets. Armor suits feature reactive red lighting and heavy combat gear, while emotes emphasize bold movement over stealth. The pass also includes the PC vs Console Content Pack—a bundle with themed operators and weapons tied to platform preference, without gameplay impact.
No new operator class or weapon rebalancing was included in this drop, and the next major update has not yet been dated. Developers have confirmed they’re tracking match data and behavior across the newly added Off The Grid deathmatch arenas to assess future adjustments.
Avalanche Further Powers Web3 With New Battle Pass
In addition to the content drop, Off The Grid is now fully integrated into Avalanche’s Season 1 Battle Pass, a cross-game campaign launched in June. Players can mint the pass on Magic Eden, link their wallet via Playfull, and complete OTG-specific quests to earn $AVAX, NFTs, and leaderboard positions.
OTG joins titles like Spellborne in this season’s lineup, reinforcing Avalanche’s push to build a cohesive, cross-title gaming ecosystem. Quest tracking and Battle Pass progress are updated in real time, with incentives tied directly to in-game achievements.
