Pudgy Party Opens With Momentum
The Pudgy Penguins franchise has moved into mobile gaming with Pudgy Party, a new title developed by Mythical Games. The game released globally on August 29 and quickly rose to the top of Apple’s iOS racing charts. It features short-form multiplayer challenges that rotate across six casual game modes. Solo and group match types are available. Up to 20 users can join a match, racing or battling through stages with eliminations, time limits, or collection mechanics.
Pudgy Party includes unlockable skins that can be traded. According to a post from Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz, every cosmetic unlocked through gameplay is tradable. Netz suggested that a dedicated user could potentially earn more than minimum wage by grinding skins full-time.
No formal play-to-earn framework has been announced, but the structure fits common mechanics seen across crypto games that include asset trading, leaderboard rewards, and token-linked progression.
Web3 IP With Retail Reach
The Pudgy Penguins brand has moved steadily from a profile picture NFT collection into a cross-media IP with growing reach across retail and digital products. Toys tied to the penguin characters are sold at Walmart, Target, and Amazon. A children’s book deal with Random House expanded the brand into publishing earlier this year.
The original NFT collection currently sits at a floor price of 9.82 ETH, equal to about $42,100. During the lead-up to the $PENGU token launch last December, the floor price briefly passed 30 ETH. $PENGU trades at $0.028 at the time of writing, with a fully diluted valuation of $2.55 billion. It is up over 600 percent from its April low.
Shorts featuring the Pudgy characters have gone viral on Facebook. Many viewers engaging with the brand have done so through toys and content without ever interacting with the NFTs or token ecosystem.

Mythical Games Infrastructure
Pudgy Party runs on infrastructure from Mythical Games, the studio behind NFL Rivals, Blankos Block Party, and FIFA Rivals. The company’s Mythos chain is built on Polkadot and has seen over $850 million in transaction volume across its portfolio.
“Pudgy Penguins is one of the few Web3 brands that has successfully broken through to mainstream audiences,” said John Linden, CEO of Mythical Games. “We are thrilled to launch Pudgy Party with them and bring this playful IP to gamers around the world.”
The project was first revealed in October 2024, with a campaign focused on building Pudgy Party as a mobile-first, accessible title. Initial pre-registration opened in July 2025 and included a sweepstakes offering $5,000 worth of $PENGU tokens. Five winners received $1,000 each in rewards.
Digital Items With Real Trade Value
The current version of Pudgy Party includes digital skins that can be unlocked through gameplay. These items are tradable and are now listed on the Mythical Marketplace, with some Legendary-tier skins priced between $825 and $1,684. Listings vary in completion percentage and total shard count, with skins such as “Captain Pudgy” and “Power Pudgy” appearing frequently and in-demand among players.

There is no official roadmap for monetization or marketplace expansions yet, but the presence of these listings shows that digital ownership and value exchange are already active within the game’s structure.
Luca Netz, CEO of Pudgy Penguins, highlighted the economic layer of the game in a recent post: “Very few people have caught on to the fact that every skin you unlock in Pudgy Party is tradable. I have a theory that if you played Pudgy Party full time you could make more than a minimum wage job.”
No wallet connection is required to start. The game is free to download on iOS and Android.
