Pudgy Party Surges to Half a Million Players
Pudgy Party, the new mobile battle royale from Mythical Games and Pudgy Penguins, has surpassed 500,000 downloads just two weeks after launch. Released globally on August 29, 2025, the game is available on both iOS and Android, combining casual party mechanics with blockchain-backed asset ownership.
The title features six game modes, 35 maps, and supports both solo and co-op play with up to 20 players. Players can unlock outfits, emotes, and other items, all of which can be mined as NFTs and traded via the Mythos chain, Mythical’s Polkadot-based network. Pudgy Party has already climbed into Apple’s iOS racing charts, holding a 4.8-star App Store rating across nearly 900 reviews and a 4.2-star Google Play rating from over 380 players.
Pudgy Penguins’ Mobile Push
The Pudgy Penguins franchise has expanded beyond Ethereum NFTs with Pudgy Party as its first mobile-first game. Cosmetics unlocked through play are tradable, and CEO Luca Netz has suggested that dedicated players could potentially earn real income by grinding for skins. Pre-registration in July 2025 included a sweepstakes that gave away $5,000 in $PENGU tokens.
Mythical Games, the studio behind NFL Rivals, Blankos Block Party, and FIFA Rivals, has processed over $850 million in transaction volume across its portfolio via Mythos chain. Pudgy Party represents its latest effort to blend mass-market gaming with optional blockchain functionality, placing Pudgy Penguins at the center of mobile Web3 adoption.
