Aavegotchi Forge has released a fresh mechanic for players to explore. This new mechanic allows players to gather geodes, a glittering in-game treasure trove. Players will have a wearable collecting dust in their inventory fortified with the special power of Forge. The power equips players to smelt and obtain the underlying components of these wearables. During the process, players get rewarded with same-tier geode. There are six tiers of geode which include common, uncommon, rare, legendary, mythical, and godlike.
What Are Geodes?
Players can unlock captivating secrets hidden within these geodes with the help of a newly implemented NPC called Flex. A combination of Flex’s expert guidance and the Forge UI will help players open these mystical gems to unveil these incredible prizes. Interestingly, players do not need an Aavegotchi or even GLTR to embark on this exciting journey.
Aavegotchi Forge has created a collection of four legendary schematics that form the mighty Smithooor set. These schematics include flaming aprons, forge goggles, geode smasher, and geo. The game has a pool of 400 tantalizing schematics listed on the Aavegotchi Wiki, each with its full trait modifications and attached bonuses.
Aavegotchi team is prepared to expand the prize pool to encompass prizes across all rarity tiers. This upcoming development will provide players with a geode containing any type of tier. The team prepares to add some extra legendary schematics if their prize pool runs dry before the full multi-tier functionality launches.
Getting Rewards in Geode: A Game of Chance
A powerful distribution mechanics known as Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) has been implemented to organize the prize distribution process. Players get rewarded based on the rarity tier of a geode that determines the percentage chance of obtaining a prize from the pool. Aavegotchi Forge has shared the odds of getting a prize from the initial pool based on the rarity: Common (0.7920%), Uncommon (2.3573%), Rare (9.8209%), Legendary (34.3900%), Mythical (86.3022%) and Godlike (100%).
The launch of goede prizes plays a major role in supporting Aavegotchi wearables and triggers the exploration of smelting. For every smelting process, a 10% alloy fee is charged; half of the fees are burnt forever, while the other half is sent to Aavegotchi DAO. About 700,000 alloys have been burnt and contributed to the DAO. Activities in Aavegotchi Forge could increase the purchase of wearables as players demand to experience geode-opening luck. All statistical data about wearable, alloy and forging can be accessed on Aavegotchi’s dashboard.
