Sky Mavis has officially released the trailer for Atia’s Legacy, its upcoming MMO set in the Axie Infinity universe. The game represents the studio’s most ambitious expansion of the Axie IP to date, introducing a large-scale multiplayer experience designed around persistent economies, resource systems, and social coordination. The trailer arrives as Sky Mavis continues to position itself at the intersection of blockchain infrastructure and game development.
Originally announced in early March, Atia’s Legacy has already attracted significant attention. Over five million users have preregistered for the game ahead of two planned playtests in 2025. Sky Mavis says the title draws on lessons from Axie Infinity’s early success and the challenges that followed. The focus for Atia’s Legacy is centered on game economies, player-driven incentives, and systems that can evolve quickly—areas that Sky Mavis cofounder Aleksander Larsen has said are key to building durable Web3 games.
The game will launch on both mobile and PC and is set within Lunacia, the world long associated with the Axie franchise. While specific gameplay details remain limited, Sky Mavis has confirmed the MMO will introduce systems that emphasize player guilds, risk-based progression, and on-chain economic activity. As anticipation builds, Atia’s Legacy marks a major step forward in Sky Mavis’ broader effort to define what a long-term, scalable Web3 game ecosystem can look like.
