Top Play-to-Earn Games on Polygon Right Now
Polygon hosts several free-to-play and play-to-earn titles, backed by low fees and fast transaction speed. Stablecoin integrations and Immutable zkEVM support have also strengthened its developer stack. Here are some of the top games you can play on Polygon today.

Jihoz Talks Axie MMO Playtest and Ronin’s Economic Innovation
In a recent interview, Sky Mavis co-founder Jeffrey “Jihoz” Zirlin confirmed that Atia’s Legacy, the Axie MMO, will enter closed playtest for 500 to 750 players in September. Over 17.3 million players have already pre-registered. The playtest will focus on squad-based combat, with progression and economic sinks tested before broader release.
Jihoz described Ronin as “the home of economic innovation.” He highlighted Risk-to-Earn mechanics, wars as token sinks, and Ronin Profiles as central to building sustainable incentives. The profile system will allow developers to whitelist players for mints, rewards, and airdrops based on verified in-game activity, filtering out extractive accounts and bots.
Atia’s Legacy will integrate Axie Core progression with large-scale MMO systems, adding territory wars and guild-driven economies. Ronin’s design enables optional wallets, allowing integration on Steam and Epic without requiring blockchain onboarding at the first step.

Spellborne Launches $BORNE Token With Ecosystem Rollout
Spellborne’s $BORNE token went live on August 29 through Avalanche’s Blackhole DEX, marking a major expansion of the game’s economy. The token underpins core systems such as crafting, guild tools, marketplace trading, and PvP competition. Supply allocation includes 12.5% airdropped at launch, 37.5% for gameplay rewards, and the remainder split across development, investors, and ecosystem funds with multi-year vesting.
At the time of writing, $BORNE trades at $0.024, down 20% from its opening price after a short recovery. The token powers monster minting, chest unlock acceleration, cosmetic purchases, and future integrations across Mon Studios’ upcoming titles including Guardians of Celestia and Spellborne Rogue.
Blackhole DEX, where $BORNE is listed, uses LayerZero cross-chain infrastructure. No staking or bribe mechanics have been confirmed for this release.

Football.Fun Hits $2M Revenue and Introduces Reputation Filters
Football.Fun, a Base-powered crypto fantasy football game, crossed $2 million in revenue within two weeks of launching its Pro version. The game allows users to trade tokenized football players, earn from weekly tournaments, and profit from market trading tied to player performance.
Founder Adam McEntee confirmed over $32 million in total trading volume since launch. The platform takes a 5% fee on trades, with a higher 20% fee during sell pressure periods to discourage flipping.
Rapid growth has attracted bot attacks and referral exploits. To counter this, the team has added a reputation system that downranks extractive players while rewarding long-term accounts. Football.Fun plans to launch its second Founders Pack reveal, a 40% revenue share program, loyalty rebates, and token buybacks in the coming weeks.
