Quick Take
- Draftables pre-season tournament kicks off June 27 across mobile, browser, and Arena platforms
- $DRAFT token staking system launches alongside leaderboard-based tournament rewards
- Cosmetic and collectible prizes confirmed for top-ranked players, with more details coming soon
Draftables is getting serious. The football sim built on Avalanche is launching its first official pre-season tournament on June 27, introducing a full staking system, dual leaderboards, and the game’s most competitive structure to date.
Matches will be live across mobile, browser, and the Arena App Store, with players competing for leaderboard dominance and $DRAFT token points. It’s the first time the staking layer will be fully active, giving early players a shot at earning token rewards before $DRAFT even goes live.
The tournament runs on two parallel tracks: an in-game leaderboard that tracks ranked match wins, and a staking dashboard that tallies $DRAFT point accumulation from both gameplay and community activity. Winning matches, completing social quests, and staying engaged in the ecosystem all feed into the same points system. That system feeds into a future airdrop.
To get started, players will need to link a wallet and connect it to the Draftables staking dashboard. From there, progress will be tracked automatically. No buy-ins, no platform restrictions. Just games, quests, and point totals that decide who comes out on top.
“The Draftables pre-season tournament is our biggest and most competitive tournament yet,” reads the official event page. “We’ve designed a fun way for participants to get early access to Draftables airdrop rewards, incentives from our partners at The Arena, and limited edition cosmetic items.”
$DRAFT itself is an ERC-20 token on Avalanche, set to power future progression, franchise upgrades, and other Draft Labs titles. It hasn’t launched yet, but points earned during this pre-season will convert into token rewards once it does. According to the developers, this system is meant to reward early loyalty and skill-based engagement, not just raw playtime.
Players will also be competing in daily and weekly challenges tied to both gameplay and creativity. Leaderboard streaks, stat milestones, highlight reels, and social content all contribute to staking rewards. Every challenge is another entry toward NFT prizes, $ARENA raffle spots, and more visibility on the staking site leaderboard.
Draftables first debuted AS the first sports sim to hit The Arena platform in late May with a launch tournament that introduced its simulation-based format and tied match outcomes to NFT-based cosmetics. This pre-season builds directly on that foundation, adding actual token mechanics and reward tracking for the first time.
The tournament is open access, but only linked accounts will show up on the leaderboard or qualify for rewards. The staking dashboard link will go live with the tournament on June 27. Until then, players are encouraged to set up wallets, connect accounts, and get their teams ready.
More on token allocation, reward tiers, and challenge rotations is expected once the dashboard launches.
