EmberSword, a free-to-play cross-platform MMORPG, has unveiled the dates for its upcoming Alpha Playtest, dubbed “The Ultra Deep.” This dungeon experience will showcase fresh weaponry, intense combat, and collaborative gameplay, taking place from October 27 to 29, 2023.
To participate in the event, players can pre-register by providing their email addresses. Additionally, Ember Sword has assembled a gallery containing work-in-progress videos for players to explore. In these videos, the lead community manager, Thor Østenkær, elucidates in-game elements such as boss encounters, enigmatic characters, Solarwood, and Jovians, among others.
The Ultra Deep Alpha Playtest is just one of the activities outlined in Ember Sword’s October Roadmap. The roadmap also includes the release of the Ultra Deep trailer, server deployment, map expansion, and exclusive Q&A sessions. During the Alpha Playtest, players are expected to work together as a team, craft new weapons, and vanquish foes. Furthermore, the development team plans to introduce a new in-game character named Shauk, along with live streams, competitions, and other exclusive reveals.
Ember Sword sets out to be a game-changer by providing a free-to-play platform that eliminates mandatory payments like pay-to-win features, lootboxes, and buy-ins. The game is underpinned by a proprietary custom engine that offers dynamic endgame content, making it easy to pick up but challenging to master with its ARPG/MOBA-style combat system. The ultimate goal is to enhance player experiences, bolster the gaming economy, raise industry standards, and address common issues faced by MMO players.
