Quick Take
- Eternal League launches leaderboard on Immutable Play with quests tied to gameplay and NFTs
- Players compete for top 200 spots with rewards including NFTs, packs, and Immutable Gems
- The leaderboard runs for three months with weekly surprise draws for linked accounts
Eternal League, the roguelike action RPG from Eternal Squares, has rolled out a new leaderboard on Immutable Play. The system, which went live August 29, tracks player progress across gameplay achievements and NFT-linked quests, offering exclusive rewards to the top 200 ranked players over the course of a three-month season.
The leaderboard blends traditional play objectives with blockchain elements. Daily tasks include scoring milestones in Eternal Mode, completing missions, and unlocking expedition keys. Additional quests are tied to on-chain activity such as purchasing supporter packs, completing sales with USDC, or holding specific NFTs in an Immutable Passport. Players who link social accounts are also eligible for weekly prize draws, with 40 accounts randomly selected each week.
Rewards vary by placement. The top 50 competitors at the end of the season will receive Eternal League NFTs, while the next 150 will claim starter packs and Eternal Shards, a currency for the upcoming mobile version of the game. Participation grants Immutable Gems, which serve as the platform’s universal reward currency and can be redeemed for additional entries into weekly draws.
Eternal League first launched in early access on Steam in March before expanding to the Epic Games Store in June with a free-to-play Web3 release. The game mixes top-down sci-fi combat with roguelike progression and a session-based system that adapts difficulty and upgrades in real time. Companions across tank, ranger, and mage classes can be recruited, with glyphs adding unpredictable ability modifiers to each run.
By tying leaderboard progression to Immutable zkEVM, the game extends its NFT-driven gear system, which supports trading, crafting, and eventual cross-game use. The developer has signaled that the Eternal League ecosystem will grow to include additional titles, including a card game planned for beta later this year.
The launch of the leaderboard adds a competitive hook to a game still in active development, providing structured incentives for players as new content and systems continue to roll out.
