Fableborne Sorcery Unfolds is the next major playtest for Pixion Games’ mobile RPG, and it’s set to run from March 26 to March 30. This limited-time preview introduces new gameplay content, including 60 campaign levels, a new character called the Sorceress, and a system called Ability Tomes that adds more ways to customize heroes in battle.
Fableborne is a mobile action RPG that mixes hack-and-slash combat with base-building and PvP elements. It was originally built on Avalanche, but now runs on the Ronin blockchain, the same network used by Axie Infinity and other mobile-first games. In May 2024, the game underwent a visual rebrand to better reflect its esports-inspired direction.
Access to the Fableborne Sorcery Unfolds playtest is mostly limited to holders of Primordial or Kingdom NFTs, which unlock direct entry into the test. Some access is also available to non-NFT players through a public sign-up form hosted on Alphabot. According to Pixion, over 600 people have already registered. The sign-up window is closing soon.
How To Play the Fableborne Sorcery Unfolds Playtest
Players who already hold either NFT can skip public registration. Instead, they can verify their Discord role inside the official Fableborne server to receive the private sign-up link. At the time of writing, Primordial NFTs are listed at a floor price of 0.46 ETH on OpenSea, while Kingdom NFTs are available for around 55 $RON on the Ronin Market.
The Sorceress, a new dark-magic hero class, will be playable during the test. Her skillset includes Homing Projectiles that automatically track targets, Leeching or Dark Bolt which restores health on hit, and Summon Skeletons, a spell that calls four skeletons into battle for support. Other new characters were teased but not named in the preview.
One of the standout additions in Fableborne Sorcery Unfolds is the Ability Tomes system. Though full details aren’t public yet, preview clips show how tomes allow a player to swap out an existing hero ability for a new one. In one example, Glint’s Tome replaces a default skill with Solar Flare. This could open up more options for building loadouts and adjusting strategies mid-match.
Pixion confirmed that this playtest is not the launch of Season 4, but a content-focused preview designed to gather feedback from players. The studio has used past test windows to refine combat balance, mechanics, and user experience based on community input.
Separately, Pixion recently launched a Ronin Validator node, which supports the security of the blockchain and gives the studio a more active role in its ecosystem. The validator is expected to tie into future staking systems like Kingdom Staking Seasons and other community-driven features. More information on the validator is available on the Ronin validator dashboard.
Fableborne Sorcery Unfolds gives players a chance to try out a large slice of upcoming content before it’s live in the main game. While NFT holders are guaranteed access, the general sign-up is still open for a limited time. Feedback from this preview is expected to help shape future updates as Fableborne continues to evolve.
