FIFA Rivals has surpassed 1 million downloads across iOS and Android, seven weeks after launching on June 12. Developed by Mythical Games and officially licensed by FIFA, the game combines mobile football gameplay with blockchain features on the Polkadot-powered Mythos network.
The release coincided with the FIFA Club World Cup, driving early attention from global football audiences. Mythical Games reports over 5 million matches played since launch, with 16 million goals scored. Players have also logged 14 million interceptions, 7 million super moves, and 4 million goals saved.
FIFA Rivals is built around real-time PVP matches where players compete in short sessions. Winners receive a gacha ball containing randomized items like player cards, upgrade materials, and in-game currency. These rewards feed into squad-building mechanics and ongoing team development.
NFTs are available through the Mythical Market, which supports the purchase, trade, and use of digital assets within the game. Items include player NFTs, cosmetic gear, emotes, and licensed assets.
The game recently launched an Adidas-themed season with new digital gear from the Copa, F50, and Predator lines. Players can also link to adiClub, Adidas’ customer platform, to unlock additional in-game content.
FIFA Rivals continues to expand with regular content drops and NFT integrations. It remains one of the highest-profile web3 mobile sports games to date.
