- American Football version of FDF confirmed for release soon
Football.Fun has completed its final Founders Pack sale, with the Phase 2 allocation selling out in just 37 seconds. The update marks a new milestone for the play-to-earn sports title as it prepares to launch its $FUN token and expand into multiple sports under a new umbrella brand called Sport.Fun.
According to data shared by the team, Football.Fun has generated $58 million in total trading volume and $6.2 million in revenue since launch. The game’s latest updates include simpler mechanics, easier reward systems, and active buybacks designed to stabilize its in-game economy.
Sport.Fun Unites Multiple Games
Founder Adam McEntee confirmed on X that Sport.Fun will serve as the company’s official name and ecosystem moving forward. The platform will link football, basketball, American football, and other sports under one shared account system. Players will retain their reputation scores, rewards, and balances across all titles.
McEntee said the $FUN token will connect every product in the ecosystem and receive a share of revenue from all future sports games released by Sport.Fun. The company plans to direct part of that revenue toward $FUN buybacks and player rewards.
An airdrop has been confirmed for Q4 2025, with eligibility based on activity in Football.Fun, including gameplay and trading.
Expanding Into American Football
Sport.Fun also confirmed that an American Football version of Football.Fun is nearing release. The game will use the same format as the football version but adapted for the NFL. McEntee said this addition has been in development throughout the year and will arrive “sooner than people think.”
The company said dedicated hires have been made to handle development across new sports while Football.Fun continues to receive weekly updates.
Ongoing Growth On Base
Football.Fun previously reported to sit as the top-performing consumer apps on Base by revenue and volume this quarter. The team said future updates will include a referral program, expanded tutorials, and credit card onboarding for mainstream players.
McEntee said the company aims to become “the most rewarding thing to do in crypto” as it scales Sport.Fun into a broader play-to-earn sports network.
