Just launched hours ago on the Ronin Network, Plants vs Ronke is a crypto farming game from the Ronen Mining Network. Inspired by Plants vs Undead, it blends NFT ownership, resource management, and real-time disruption into a strategic farming experience that rewards players in $PVR.
The game is still in active development, with features rolling out rapidly. Early players are planting crops, defending against attacks, and experimenting with a live economy that’s already posted a 3x gain on $PVR and a 13x on $RONEN. While the long-term gameplay loop is still evolving, this guide covers how the game works now—and what might be coming next.
Getting Started: How to Buy and Deposit $PVR
Before planting anything, you need $PVR—the token used for every in-game action.
- Buy $PVR on Katana Swap
Visit Katana Swap and trade RON for PVR. You’ll need a Ronin wallet and enough RON to cover the swap.
Check price data at GeckoTerminal. - Deposit PVR to Your Game Account
Go to pvr.ronencoin.tech/deposit, send PVR to the address listed, and your balance will be credited in-game. Note: Always leave 1 $PVR in your wallet to ensure successful deposits. For example, if you wish to deposit 500 $PVR, deposit 499 $PVR. - Withdraw When Ready
Use the wallet page to withdraw PVR from your game account back to your Ronin wallet.

How to Buy Plants (Seed NFTs)
Seed NFTs are the core assets in Plants vs Ronke. The team launched 9,999 Seed NFTs during the initial mint, covering four elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. These plants are now only available on secondary markets.
Buy NFT plants from:
At the time of writing, the floor price is around 50 RON (approximately $30), but prices vary based on rarity and performance. Rarities go from Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary.
Each plant has:
- A harvest cycle (24, 48, or 72 hours)
- Yield range between 1,000 and 3,750 PVR
- Element type (affects performance during weather events)
- Rarity (some require Big Pots to be usable)
For new players, common plants with shorter harvest timers offer faster returns. Rarer plants are better for longer-term yield but cost more to manage. Each plant element (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind) thrives under specific weather conditions. If the weather is unfavorable, your plant’s growth and harvest time may be delayed. Use a Greenhouse for 100 $PVR to neutralize weather effects and maintain optimal growth speed. More details below.

Core Gameplay: Plant, Farm, Earning $PVR
Once you have PVR and at least one plant, you can start farming. You begin with six plots and can plant either:
- Seed NFTs, which are reusable and yield based on their stats
- Sunflower Samplings, one-time-use plants that cost 1,000 PVR and return 2,500 PVR after 72 hours
After planting, you must equip each crop with a pot and then provide it with water. When timers finish, you harvest PVR and then replant with new Sunflower Samplings or reuse your Seed NFTs with new supplies (such as fresh pots and water). Continue upgrading and expanding your farming operations as you progress!

Farming Items Explained
Understanding item utility is essential for efficient farming. These items are purchased with PVR and required for basic gameplay functions.
Small Pot
- Cost: 500 PVR
- Lasts for 9 days
- Compatible with common and mid-tier NFT plants
Big Pot
- Cost: 1,000 PVR
- Lasts for 30 days
- Required for rarer NFT plants and necessary for seed drops (a future feature)
Water
- Cost: 500 PVR for 100 uses
- Required to activate crops after planting
- Must be reapplied each time you replant a crop
Jihoz Photo
- Cost: 200 PVR
- Used to repel Ronke attacks when a plant is targeted
- Resumes the plant’s harvest timer
Greenhouse
- Cost: 100 PVR
- Prevents delays caused by weather events
- Recommended for high-yield crops vulnerable to element-based weather

Sunflower Sampling
- Cost: 1,000 PVR
- A basic, non-NFT plant
- Harvests once after 72 hours and returns 2,500 PVR
- Cannot be reused after harvest
Sunflowers are ideal for new players looking to test the farming system without buying a full NFT. However, their one-time-use nature means they’re less efficient long-term than Seed NFTs.
These items define your farm’s efficiency. Without them, crops won’t function or will lose time and yield. Managing your item budget is key to staying profitable.
Ronke Attacks and Weather Mechanics
Ronkes are random attackers that target individual plants and pause their timers. You won’t earn any PVR from a plant under attack until you use a Jihoz Photo to scare the Ronke away.
Weather is another system that directly impacts productivity. Certain elements slow down plant growth under adverse conditions. Using a Greenhouse ensures your plants continue harvesting on schedule.
Harvesting, Replanting, and Future Features
After a plant matures, you harvest PVR and either:
- Replant the same NFT using new tools
- Use a Sunflower again
- Upgrade to a new plant
Withdrawals are live, and you can move PVR out at any time.
Future features the developers have teased include:
- Seed Drop System: New NFT seeds that drop only from in-game harvesting
- Land NFTs: Will increase your farm’s potential yield
- World Tree and social gameplay: Watering other players’ plants to earn a share of their PVR
- Farm upgrades and additional plots
The roadmap is expanding quickly, and given how early the game is, these features could significantly alter the loop over the next few weeks.
How Does it Compare to Plants vs Undead?
Because Plants vs Ronke just launched, many systems are still taking shape. However, it clearly draws from the blueprint of Plants vs Undead. That game evolved to include PvP, staking, and other token mechanics.
It’s too soon to say whether Ronke will follow the same path, but it’s already leaning on real-time interaction, straightforward token usage, and a relatively smaller barrier to entry.
