HyperPlay, a web3-native game store, has acknowledged the receipt of a strategic investment from Square Enix, a popular trademark in the entertainment world. Notably, Square Enix is renowned for publishing, distributing, and licensing entertainment content and currently patents three game titles: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Space Invaders.
The partnership between the two companies marks the beginning of an exciting journey to revolutionize gaming distribution models. HyperPlay has also added Square Enix’s Symbiogenesis NFT Game and Art Project to its game store lineup. This addition offers a new genre of NFT-based entertainment integrating 10,000 collectible artworks with real game utility.
These 10,000 NFT characters boast unique designs featuring various races, professions, and bust-up pictures, which could serve as profile pictures. The game’s genre has been defined as “Narrative-unlocked NFT entertainment.” As players unlock the main story, the individual stories of each character unravel the mysteries of the world.
Players are challenged to progress through the main story and missions to unlock stories held by characters. They can unveil hidden items scattered across the Floating Continent. Moreover, players can determine the story’s ending by participating in the World Mission, where the ultimate choice will be made.
