Quick Take
- HYTOPIA will fund 5–10 teams with milestone-based grants up to $25K per project
- Studios must have shipped a Roblox or mobile game with proven scale
- Cohort gets GTM support, direct dev access, and 75-25 revenue splits
HYTOPIA is launching a Creator Fund to back experienced studios building games on its platform. The three-month program will select between five and ten teams, each eligible for up to $25,000 in milestone-based, non-dilutive grants. The initiative is aimed at attracting flagship titles and giving selected teams access to engineering support, go-to-market planning, and preferential revenue share agreements.
Studios accepted into the cohort will receive staged funding based on development progress. Grant sizes will vary depending on the team’s track record and experience. In addition to financial support, participants will have direct Slack access to HYTOPIA’s engineering team and distribution support through the platform’s creator channels.
Preferred revenue terms for the cohort include a 75-25 split in favor of the developer. IP ownership remains with the studio.
To qualify, applicants must meet two baseline requirements:
- At least one previously shipped game with 10 million lifetime plays on Roblox
- Or a mobile title with more than 100,000 downloads
- Minimum team of three, including a 3D modeler, an experienced JavaScript or TypeScript developer, and an animator
The program is designed to showcase the capabilities of HYTOPIA’s tech stack, which includes built-in 3D creation tools, API infrastructure, and cross-platform deployment. Studios in the fund are expected to share their dev progress in public channels, publish devlogs, and engage community members through alpha testing.
HYTOPIA says the Creator Fund is intended to bring fully playable projects to market, not just prototypes. Selected teams will receive launchpad visibility and go-to-market support for their title, including promotional exposure through HYTOPIA’s channels.
The Creator Fund launch comes shortly after the platform announced its migration to Base and the introduction of a new ecosystem token, $HYBUX. Existing $TOPIA holders will receive a 2:1 airdrop, with the transition managed by the newly formed HY Foundation.
