Quick Take
- MEXC now supports IMX deposits and withdrawals directly to Immutable zkEVM
- Over 40 million MEXC users gain easier access to the Immutable ecosystem
- No bridges or swaps needed to move IMX from MEXC to zkEVM
MEXC enabled deposit and withdrawal support for IMX, with transfers now moving directly to Immutable zkEVM. The update means users no longer need to bridge tokens or perform swaps to move IMX off the exchange and onto the Immutable network.
This marks a key access upgrade for IMX, offering a faster and cheaper experience for MEXC’s global user base. It also opens up IMX staking and brings many centralized exchange users into contact with zkEVM for the first time.
Immutable zkEVM is designed to support gaming, and the addition of exchange-layer support helps lower the barrier to entry. The move comes shortly after Immutable announced its expansion into the broader $300 billion Web2 gaming market, with Ubisoft as its first major partner on the Immutable Play platform.
MEXC also brings advantages in payment infrastructure. The exchange supports local fiat onramps and regional services like Wepay, which Immutable does not currently offer. Users in areas such as Bhutan can now onboard using familiar payment methods, whereas direct IMX purchases through Immutable are limited to Visa and Mastercard.
The integration offers an accessible entry point for Web2 users through MEXC’s existing payment rails, adding to the broader effort of onboarding new players into the Immutable ecosystem.
