The next major Parallel TCG tournament will arrive later this month, introducing updated competition rules and formats after the latest Shotgun patch has been pushed live. Open III, part of Prime League Season 2, begins May 30 at 10 PM ET (May 31 at 2 AM UTC) and will be the first event to test the game’s newly adjusted card dynamics in an official setting.
Parallel TCG Tournament Open III Game Details
Registration opens May 26 at 9 AM ET through the tournament app. It remains open until capacity fills as signups follow an FCFS model. Swiss qualifiers run in two time zones to support a wider global turnout. Only the top eight finishers from each bracket advance to the final single-elimination round on June 1.
The tournament structure will follow the conquest format. Three decks are submitted, one is banned each round, and matches are played as best-of-three. Deck lists remain open throughout the event. The final 16 will receive league points, with the top four sharing most of the $2500 prize pool.
Signups allow for entry in both qualifiers. If advancement is secured in the first bracket, removal from the second will occur automatically. Final standings from both brackets will feed into the single-elimination stage without reset.
The Prime League’s seasonal structure continues to assign point values to standings in Open events. Accumulated points contribute toward future playoff qualification and leaderboard placement.

Parallel Studios has not released specific patch notes tied to Open III but confirmed that all matches will reflect the current post-Shotgun patch environment. Balance changes introduced by that update are expected to shift common deck choices and strategy paths heading into the competition.
No additional requirements have been stated for eligibility. Entry is free, and no prior ranking is needed. The full event includes signups, match pairings, and leaderboard tracking within the Parallel tournament app ecosystem.
Open III follows Open II, which concluded earlier this season with a similar format. While no roster of returning competitors is published, final standings and deck archetype analysis from previous Opens remain accessible through Parallel’s official Discord and tournament pages. The final match of the single-elimination bracket is scheduled for June 1. League points and prize distributions will be finalized after match completion.
