Quick Takes
- Pengu Clash launches June 18 with 1v1 mini-games and optional NFT features on Telegram
- Pudgy Penguins announces a NASCAR deal to bring the brand to global motorsport fans
- Recent cross-chain moves include Pudgy NFT integration into My Neighbor Alice’s open world
Pengu Clash, the real-time multiplayer Telegram game built around Pudgy Penguins, will officially launch on June 18. Developed by Elympics and integrated with the TON blockchain, the game introduces fast-paced 1v1 minigames where players battle using customizable penguin characters. It is part of Pudgy Penguins’ continued push into interactive gaming and digital-first entertainment.
First revealed in May through a limited waitlist rollout, Pengu Clash offers skill-based competitions in curling, darts, football, and other mini-games. Players can access the game directly through Telegram, with no wallet or account required. However, those who connect a TON-compatible wallet or Telegram’s native wallet, where supported, can unlock features like cosmetic NFTs and optional token-based wagering.
The infrastructure behind Pengu Clash was built by Elympics, known for developing real-time, on-chain games. CEO Michal Dabrowski described the game as a deliberate break from the recent wave of passive Telegram clickers. “Pengu Clash is created with great care for actual gameplay,” Dabrowski said. “It’s about skill, not farming.”
All matchmaking and progression are handled on-chain, with token incentives tied to performance rather than purchases. A PvP arena and shop tab are already available at launch, with seasonal quests coming soon. More than one million Telegram users have registered to play.
NASCAR Deal Marks New Mainstream Push
Separately, Pudgy Penguins announced a new partnership with NASCAR. The collaboration will bring Pudgy-branded content to NASCAR’s global audience, though specific activations have not yet been disclosed. The agreement signals another step in Pudgy’s transition from NFT-native brand to mainstream IP.
Interoperability Efforts Continue
In addition to the game launch and NASCAR deal, Pudgy Penguins recently partnered with My Neighbor Alice to integrate its entire NFT collection into the game as fully playable 3D characters. That integration, which includes a new Pudgy Land region and cross-chain asset functionality, is designed to push the boundaries of web3 interoperability.
As Pengu Clash prepares to go live, Pudgy Penguins is simultaneously expanding its reach across gaming, sports, and open-world digital ecosystems.
