Phantom Galaxies, the web3 mech shooter ARPG, has unveiled the launch of its beta release titled “Collectors of Glory.” This marks the third phase of the game’s beta session, brimming with numerous opportunities for players to explore.
Exclusively accessible to holders of Avatar Mintpasses, Starfighter Mintpasses, and other ASTRAFER tokens, this beta release extends its reach to those with the “Friends of Zorran” and “Rulers of World” titles. The ASTRAFER token, priced at 50 cents each, can be acquired through Quickswap on the Polygon blockchain. The beta phase for Phantom Galaxies is set to span a month, commencing on August 6.
Phantom Galaxies Bring Three Features to Beta-Cohort 3
Within this beta phase, Phantom Galaxies introduces three significant new features: PvP, an in-game-only currency, and a Gear System. The introduction of Starling, an experimental in-game currency, serves as a platform for game developers to test-run various economic features. Notably, this token functions exclusively during the ongoing beta and has no rewards for accumulation. Starling empowers players to acquire and enhance their Gears, contributing to their in-game progression.
The Gear system emerges as a dynamic feature, allowing players to intricately outfit and personalize their Mechs/Ships with a diverse array of upgrades. It seeks to enhance the player progression system, offering a more comprehensive gameplay experience. The excitement is amplified with the inclusion of PvP, providing players with an alternative to the familiar pirate battles. Accessing PvP is facilitated through the red Hyperbridge located within the starting Asterion system.
Phantom Galaxies has hinted at the creation and distribution of Proof of Attendance (POA) NFTs exclusively for beta participants. This anticipated development includes distinctive badges for each segment of the beta, along with other pre-organized beta phases.
For this specific beta test, players are required to install the new launcher and re-download the 16GB game. Notably, the game currently lacks a patch system for existing players, presenting a fresh installation as a prerequisite for participation.
