Playtests for Project O, the upcoming trading card game from Koin Games, will return in the first week of June. This new phase runs for two weeks and includes 12 four-hour sessions. The TCG is opening access to 100 additional testers, with slots distributed through community events and Discord-hosted contests.
There is no open registration for this round. Instead, players earn access by participating in ongoing live events or entering themed contests. The latest community contest invites players to submit original player titles that will appear on the PvP Versus screen. Titles are meant to be humorous or referential, with themes inspired by mythology, folklore, or internet culture — examples include “I do it for the Honey” and “Woke Up in a Tower Again.”
How to Join Project O Playtests
Submissions for the title contest must be posted on their Discord channel by 9 AM EST on May 26. There is no limit to the number of entries. After the deadline, the development team will compile a shortlist, and holders will vote to select the final titles. Winning entries could be included in the full release of the game.
Each contest offers a new opportunity to earn a playtest slot. Session times will be distributed across various time zones to accommodate players globally. While no new gameplay mechanics have been detailed, past playtests have included balance updates and UI improvements based on tester feedback.
This testing phase will conclude with the game’s first community tournament. All current playtesters will be eligible to enter. The winner will receive in-game Blueprints, a rare digital asset tied to the long-term collectible and competitive aspects of Project O. Full prize details have not been disclosed.
For ongoing updates, session schedules, and contest info, players are encouraged to join the official Discord server.
What is Project O?
Developed by Koin Games, Project O is a mobile-first, collectible trading card game that reimagines public domain characters like Robin Hood and Winnie-the-Pooh in fast-paced, head-to-head battles. It combines traditional TCG mechanics with blockchain features like card ownership, PvP wagering, and recorded match histories. The game is currently in closed testing ahead of a planned soft launch later this year.
