Quick Take
- Spellborne confirms expansion to Abstract Chain, following mobile launch on iOS and Android
- Over 30 million battles fought and 3.5 million monsters captured since launch
- Expansion comes ahead of the $BORNE token release and upcoming marketplace rollout
Spellborne will be integrating with Abstract Chain in the coming months, according to a short announcement from developer Mon Studios. The studio shared that its monster-collecting MMORPG, currently live on Avalanche, will expand to Abstract as part of its next infrastructure phase.
The update follows Spellborne’s mobile release earlier this month. The game is now available mobile via iOS and Android, bringing turn-based battles and PvP monster squads to mobile platforms for the first time. Since launch, Spellborne has tracked more than 30 million battles and over 3.5 million monsters captured by players.
Abstract Chain is a new Ethereum Layer 2 built using zkSync’s ZK stack and EigenDA. Developed by Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins, Abstract is focused on onboarding consumer-facing apps like games and social platforms. Spellborne’s migration comes ahead of the $BORNE token launch, which remains scheduled for release via Blackhole DEX. No TGE date has been announced.
$BORNE is designed to power in-game utility systems including crafting, monster minting, guild creation, and marketplace trades. Players earn the token through PvP victories, seasonal events, and monster sales. Token holders can also stake $BORNE to generate Glory Points, which unlock cosmetic perks, rare items, and discounts in-game.
Spellborne is currently one of the most active Avalanche-native games. With mobile support now live and Abstract Chain integration on the horizon, the project appears to be building out its multi-network footprint in advance of full token deployment.
No official date has been confirmed for the Abstract integration. Mon Studios has stated that additional announcements will follow in the coming weeks.
