Phantom Galaxies, a popular blockchain-based game, is set to introduce a groundbreaking feature to its players—Phantom Catalyst NFTs. These tokens will enable players to influence the traits of their generative in-game assets, including Planets, Starfighters, and Avatars.
What Are Phantom Catalysts?
Generative NFTs in Phantom Galaxies are unique digital assets, each possessing individualized attributes, a result of the random elements incorporated during the minting process. Phantom Catalyst NFTs, the newly introduced tokens, will allow players to influence these traits during the Supermint process, adding a fresh layer of personalization to their gaming experience.
Acquiring Phantom Catalyst NFTs
Phantom Catalyst NFTs will be obtained through special means, including in-game competitions and quest completions. Each Phantom Catalyst NFT will be specific to a type of Mintpass—Starfighter, Avatar, or Planet—and will apply one or more traits to the corresponding generative NFT during the Supermint process.
The game developers have planned several Phantom Catalyst NFT drops for specific NFT holders. For instance, the Hopeful will receive an Avatar Gender Catalyst, while Planet Founders will receive a Planet Catalyst. Other Phantom Catalyst NFTs will be allocated to holders of Zorran’s Favour, Complete Posters (Redeemed + Unredeemed), Medals set, AR Progress Tracker, and AR Trophy.
Player Agency and Governance
Phantom Catalyst NFTs mark a significant evolution in Phantom Galaxies’ commitment to player agency and governance. The new feature provides players with more control over their in-game items and promises an even more immersive and personalized gaming experience.
About Phantom Galaxies
Phantom Galaxies is an open-world online space sim in which players take on a pivotal role in the war for control of the sectors of Canis Major. Players will fight on the front lines as well as explore deep space to find valuable resources and uncover the powerful weapons of the Sha’Kari. Players will select a Starfighter from four different starting classes, or Frames: the Lancer, Buster, Assault, and Breacher. From there, they will be able to upgrade their mechs, unlocking specialisations to experiment and fine-tune the perfect Starfighter setup for each combat scenario.
