Quick Take
- Treeverse introduces $END as a tradable in-game token across its ecosystem and future titles
- Token launch backed by Ethereum and Immutable zkEVM for gasless, seamless player onboarding
- Majority of the 500M $END supply allocated to community rewards, events, and gameplay incentives
The Endless Clouds Foundation has released the first edition of its $END token whitepaper, providing a framework for its upcoming ecosystem currency across Treeverse and future titles. According to the documentation, $END is designed to function as a tradable, on-chain currency used primarily for accessing exclusive cosmetics and features within Treeverse. The whitepaper confirms the token will also power potential sales involving both physical merchandise and digital collectibles tied to the game.
Treeverse, a mobile-native MMORPG available on iOS, Android, and PC, has been in open development for several years. With a focus on digital ownership and blockchain integration, the studio has maintained monthly updates and a transparent development cycle with its community. $END marks a significant step in the game’s evolving in-game economy, combining traditional premium currency roles with blockchain-based ownership.
The token will initially launch as an ERC-20 asset, supported by Ethereum L1 and Immutable’s zkEVM, a Layer 2 solution purpose-built for gaming. Immutable zkEVM allows seamless wallet creation and gasless transactions through its Immutable Passport, reducing entry barriers for non-crypto-native users. In a post on June 23, the Endless Clouds Foundation confirmed the use of Immutable’s infrastructure was selected to maintain a smooth player experience without compromising gameplay integrity.
Endless Clouds founder Loopify previously stated that the Token Generation Event (TGE) remains on track for June. No precise date has been confirmed, but the foundation has signaled additional updates are imminent. Once live, $END is expected to be distributed through a mix of community campaigns, gameplay rewards, and NFT-based incentives.
The token’s utility mimics premium in-game currencies from traditional gaming, comparable to Fortnite’s V-Bucks or Valorant’s VP, though $END will be fully tradable and interoperable across games in the Endless Clouds ecosystem. There are no plans for additional native tokens, aside from off-chain soft currencies used for routine in-game progression.
According to the whitepaper, a “majority” of the 500 million token supply will be allocated to community-driven initiatives. These include seasonal gameplay rewards, NFT holder participation events, and prize pools. Specific tokenomic breakdowns have not yet been released and are set to be announced just before the TGE.
Treeverse has grown from a pixelated social hub into a full-scale top-down MMORPG featuring fast-paced combat, crafting systems, and cross-platform multiplayer. Built with a mobile-first philosophy, it supports seamless play between handheld devices and desktop platforms. The game world blends anime-inspired visuals with action RPG mechanics, and players progress by fighting monsters, collecting resources, and crafting equipment.
Endless Clouds has also launched several digital collectible lines that integrate directly with Treeverse. These include Nftrees, which produce in-game fruit consumables, Treeverse Plots, which offer customizable housing with gameplay benefits, and Timeless, a generative avatar collection that serves as unique character skins.
Investor support for Endless Clouds has included Animoca Brands, IdeoCo Labs, and prominent figures like Jeff Zirlin (Sky Mavis) and Stani Kulechov (AAVE). The foundation confirmed it has raised over $6.25 million to date to fund development and ecosystem expansion.
As of now, Treeverse remains in alpha, with access available via the Epic Games Store, Google Play, and Apple’s App Store. While a public playtest continues, the introduction of $END sets up a new phase for the project’s integration of blockchain-enabled gameplay systems.
