Quick Take
- Youmio unveils its own Layer 1 blockchain built for AI agents and agent-native apps
- Built using Avalanche Subnet tech as part of Avalanche’s InfraBUIDL(AI) initiative
- Transition follows rebrand from Today The Game to infrastructure platform
Youmio has announced the launch of its own Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for AI agents. The chain runs as an Avalanche Subnet and will serve as the foundation for Youmio’s ecosystem of tokenized, autonomous agents.
The project was previously known as Today The Game, a simulation project with interactive AI characters. The new version focuses on building infrastructure for agent-based applications.
“Youmio is purpose-built for autonomous agents,” said CEO and co-founder Michael O’Connor. “Everything we’re building runs on this chain.”
The network supports tokenized 3D agents that can be created, trained, and customized by users. These agents are designed to persist across digital worlds, with behaviors and memory managed on-chain.
Youmio is one of the first public projects under Avalanche’s $15 million InfraBUIDL(AI) program, which supports teams building AI-native systems on Avalanche. The Avalanche Foundation confirmed the partnership and noted that Youmio’s infrastructure will be reviewed in part by its internal AI agent, AiFRED.
No launch date or token plans have been announced. Developer tools and SDK access are expected later this year.
What is Youmio?
Youmio is a blockchain ecosystem for creating, distributing and verifying AI agents. As the first purpose-built agent chain, it offers creative tools, modular infrastructure and integrated distribution to power verifiable agents. By enabling agent provenance and authorship to be anchored onchain, Youmio supports transparent systems that address core risks around trust, security and privacy in AI.
Through Youmio’s launchpad, anyone can create 3D AI characters that are personal, expressive and alive. These multi-agentic characters reason, act and evolve through interaction. They move fluidly across the web, apps, games and social platforms, carrying memory and context wherever they go.
