Axie Infinity has introduced Axie Experience Points (AXP) in Project T, an early prototype for player interaction with their Axies and fellow owners. Since Project T’s debut in August, the game’s utility has significantly increased. Community members gather with friends, compete in mini-games, and earn leaderboard rewards.
To earn AXP, players can train in the Dojo (1 AXP), farm food with an Axie (150 AXP), catch a butterfly (1 AXP), or win an Axie Showdown game (10 AXP). Initially, in Lunacia, players could earn limited AXP per Axie daily by playing Origins and Sky Smash. In contrast, in Project T, players can acquire up to 1000 AXP each day.
The integration of AXP into Project T offers expanded access to players with at least 5 Axies. This golden AXP-earning opportunity may attract casual, social, and collector gamers.
AXP-Earning Activities
As mentioned earlier, players can earn AXP by catching butterflies. A player can earn up to 100 AXP for capturing an endangered species or get a 2x multiplier during special events. Each use of the Net, whether catching a butterfly or not, earns 1 AXP. Players can switch to hunting mode by purchasing a Normal Net or Trusty Net from Shillin near the Town Board. Meanwhile, Axie will replace Confetti, the trivia game, with a special butterfly collecting event featuring a double AXP boost.
Axie has introduced Axie Showdown, an experimental turn-based dice mini-game where players can earn up to 30 AXP per match. In this game, players have two primary objectives: earn 20 Victory Points or eliminate all opponents. An Axie can either stay in the middle of the arena or achieve a combination of three identical numbers to win a Victory Point. If an Axie’s HP reaches zero, the player loses the match.
