We had the opportunity to sit down with the team behind ArchLoot to discuss what inspired their development, how they incorporate interactive NFTs, and their unique strategies for creating a balanced and engaging gaming experience. From overcoming development challenges to future milestones, discover how ArchLoot aims to lead the GameFi industry by putting players and genuine gameplay at the forefront.
What inspired the development of ArchLoot, and how does it differentiate itself from other NFT-based RPG games currently available in the market?
We are passionate about games and crypto, we are a team coming from different horizons, for I come from the traditional game industry where I led several successful projects such as Arknights, Azur Lane, Ulala:Idle Adventure, and Ragnarok Online.
We are actually not satisfied with the current GameFi models offered by most of the projects, we think that they build a financial system first and then incorporate a few game mechanics into it, at ArchLoot we believe that Gamefi 2.0 must first build a game then incorporate if possible NFT/on-Chain mechanics. GameFi 2.0 will provide possibilities for long-term investment/partnership and operations of projects.
To attract investors’ attention, we are using go-to-market strategies originating from the traditional industry while coupling it with GameFi strategies instead of pushing the project directly with crypto-strategies and we provide several key project features that differentiate us from other projects.
It is not always easy to find the right spot to push projects toward new horizons, but we believe that we are on the right path to revolutionizing the GameFi industry. We want to create a fun game to play to balance the PLAY to EARN part as it is more about EARNING than playing for now.
Can you explain the unique interactive NFT technology used in ArchLoot and how it enhances the player experience compared to traditional static NFTs?
The single most unique aspect of the game would be interactive NFTs that enable our UGC gameplay. All NFTs in the game support user-generated modifications.
This is made possible by EIP-4985 and BEP-129, self-developed protocols that were born for GameFi.
Gamers can:
- Freely assemble and recombine your avatars from a directory of NFTs;
- Change/ upgrade/ enhance the attributes and design of NFT assets during playing;
- Sell them on secondary marketplaces;
- Safe transactions and real-time metadata protection.
In a word, user-add value to all in-game assets has no limits both in the game and in the marketplace. For a more technical explanation of the NFT system, you can read this section in whitepaper.
ArchLoot emphasizes user-generated content. How does the game encourage and support players in creating and sharing their own content within the game?
In terms of creator-friendly features in ArchLoot, user-generated content in web3 should extend its original context by adding true self-sovereign to it.
In ArchLoot, it includes the gameplay, where you can design an avatar from head to toe and can explore tons of possibilities of leveling up & attributes changing. These changes are protected by on-chain technology.
It also includes community building. We will probably introduce community events like self-defined maps, ArchLoot gaming experience is the adventure designed by yourself. And what is Archloot? As you see, we are coming from gaming, blockchain, and finance backgrounds, with the aim of sharing knowledge and resources. Unlike pure gamification of financial actions, like many other P2E projects, we intend to combine crypto boosting with the true excitement of traditional gaming.
What are some of the major challenges your team faced during the development of ArchLoot, and how did you overcome them?
One of the challenges that we see in the current blockchain game space is that the games are not games, they are primarily gamification of financial features. Many participants of P2E games only eye on the earning part. Our team, on the other hand, is true believers in the play portion. We believe in the intrinsic value of GameFi projects while focusing on innovations. The technology of blockchain should be developed and employed to help increase the fun of gaming, and not replace it.
As I said in previous AMAs, what makes us think that we’ll “win” in the long run would be winning the heart of true users. ‘Fun’ part is currently the concern of the GameFi industry, to offer long-term evolving value for both game and assets is definitely hard-achieving. A lot of projects are targeting the financial aspect of it, we try to find a balance in terms of playability, fun, and earnings, which we believe to actually bring something new to the industry.
Similar to what is actually offered in the traditional industry, instead of having micro-transaction we will allow players to buy a hunting license to start to earn, allowing players to actually have a choice in the way they want to experience the project.
With the game’s focus on user customization and NFT integration, how is a fair gameplay experience for both paying and non-paying players?
Although we have an NFT sale event that generates rarer body parts, the game we design is indeed quite balanced in the following aspects:
- The game is free-to-play, everyone will get the same chance of grinding and looting mobs and bosses.
- The instances are restricted by level, which requires time spent in-game and to some extent skills, both of which cannotbe purchased.
- The NFT upgrade/reforge system allows everyone to improve their NFTs.
- PVP ranking matchmaking will prioritize opponents of similar profiles.
Looking ahead, what are the next big milestones for ArchLoot, and how do you plan to expand the game’s reach and player base globally?
The next milestone for ArchLoot is to bridge the connections between different ecosystems. I mean the ETH and various L2 ecosystems, which have a broad user base and rich infrastructure that are indispensable for ArchLoot’s growth. To establish this connection, we have migrated our tokens to Ethereum. Next, we will explore how to integrate ArchLoot across multiple chains into one ecosystem through a points mechanism (yes, this is also inspired by numerous staking projects in the ETH ecosystem). This approach differs from many current Web3 games where each chain has its own independent game and assets.
Can you elaborate on the tokenomics of ArchLoot? Specifically, how do $AL and $ALG function within the game’s ecosystem, and what benefits do they provide to players and investors?
To create a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts, ArchLoot adopts a dual-token economic system, which includes both a governance token (AL) and in-game currency gold (ALG). As a functional multi-utility token, AL is used as the native governance token and economic incentive which will be distributed to encourage users to exert efforts towards contribution and participation in the ecosystem. In-game earnings will thereby come as ALG.
ArchLoot game tackles inflation with balanced economic mechanisms to strike balance between in-game currency generation and consumption.
How can players jump into the action and get started in playing ArchLoot?
The game is free to play. We will be giving out common body parts for players to start their adventures.

Here is a little peak about the game, if you are interesting, you can definitely visit our youtube channel for more.
Anyone can start and play the game completely free. You start in the PVE mode – exploring the 9 maps where you can loot from treasure chests or by slaying other creatures. In general, the different ways to earn are:
- Daily quests, rewards are in ALG (utility token)
- PvE mode is where our NFT (the monster body parts) can be looted. Rare dungeon events appear for those who have purchased a hunting license. In dungeons, monsters can be killed for increasingly rare NFT’s and once hunting licenses expire can be recharged.
- PvP gameplay is where users can win ALT (main token on exchanges). We’ll host season competitions/tournaments.
- UGC centric, we will periodically host UGC events – eg, for instance, ArchLoot Gallery (avatar creation comp, user designed NFTs) and reward those that performed well in these events. Rewards are in the form of ALT tokens, exclusive NFT’s.
