The Public Alpha of Legendary Heroes: Unchained (LHU) is now open, allowing players worldwide to experience its unique gameplay. LHU is a turn-based card style RPG combat game where players assemble a team of playable NFT (non-fungible token) characters, known as Heroes, to explore procedurally generated dungeons, face enemies, and make decisions that can lead to buffs or debuffs.
Dungeon Gameplay and Combat
In LHU, the ultimate goal is to complete a dungeon run before exhausting all energy and defeat the boss at the end. Players must navigate the dungeon, make strategic decisions, and engage in combat to earn Event Points, which determine the champion of LHU. The combat system includes three action types: Basic Attack, Special Attack, and Ultimate Attack. Players must target an opponent and then attack, considering the strengths and weaknesses of their Heroes.
Currency, Hero Level Ups and Event Rewards
As players progress through the dungeon, they accumulate various currencies, including Event Points, XP, and Coins. Event Points are used for Progress Rewards and determining placement on live ops leaderboards. XP is used to level up Heroes, and Coins are used to acquire consumables or complete special action events. Leveling up Heroes increases their base stats, making it easier to complete Dungeon runs. When a Hero reaches level 10, an Evolution Crystal is required to evolve the Hero into a new power band, increasing the difficulty of Dungeon runs but also yielding greater rewards and Event Points.
Event Points not only contribute to Progress Rewards but also determine a player’s ranking on the live ops leaderboard. LHU plans to release exclusive NFTs that can only be claimed by participants and winners of various game events. During the alpha test, there will be three opportunities to compete and win, each lasting approximately 48-72 hours. Prizes based on total event points at the end of each leaderboard session include LHU Gold, Silver, and Bronze Packs, Loyalty Passes, and Discord Nitro.
