MetalCore, a combat territorial warfare PvPvE shooter game, has completed a $5M battlefield fundraise in collaboration with Immutable and Horizen Labs Ventures (HLV). Players in MetalCore engage in battles for supremacy using futuristic vehicles.
The funding round involved top venture capitalists like BITKRAFT Ventures, Delphi Digital, Sanctor Capital, SpartanGroup, King River Digital Assets, Arrington Capital, and other notable angel investors.
Studio 369, the developers of MetalCore, stated that the funds will be used to foster development and implement upcoming features. These features include a dynamic AI-based mission system that ensures “infinite replayability.”
The game’s collaboration with Immutable aims to implement the zkEVM mainnet. Meanwhile, MetalCore plans to launch its anticipated Open Beta in the spring of 2024, allowing players to explore the evolving world of MetalCore.
MetalCore boasts a team of former Activision and Lucasfilm veterans known for AAA titles like Mechwarrior 2, Gears of War, Mortal Kombat, Silent Hill, Killer Instinct, and Front Mission.
In March 2022, MetalCore raised $15M from private sales of tokens and NFTs. Participants included Polygon Ventures, Perion, BreederDAO, YGG SEA, Avocado Guild, Merit Circle, Sanctor Capital, BITKRAFT, Yield Guild Games, Delphi Ventures, Animoca Brands, Immutable, SPARTAN, Umbrella Network, Youbi Capital, bitscale capital, and others.
