Shrapnel has announced its presence on the world’s largest PC gaming store, Epic Games Store with an Early Access scheduled to take place December 2023. Shrapnel was developed by BAFTA in collaboration with NEON veterans who have won Emmy awards in the game industry.
Shrapnel: Game Overview
Shrapnel features a rich set of player-creation tools, combining creation, curation, and connection into a game where players own the platform. The final version of the intensive game will be launched in 2024. In the meantime, players can join the upcoming early access where they can enjoy the gameplay as a Mercenary Extraction Force Operator, challenged to extract valuable items or face dire consequences.
Players will enjoy features like true ownership, skill-based play, creative modding tools, and a community marketplace. Meanwhile, the Shrapnel ecosystem enables creators to express themselves, own assets, and shape the future look and feel of the game’s universe. They can control in-game assets like skins, maps, etc.
A marketplace will be available, inspiring players to create unique aesthetics or make purchases. Players can get a share of the community distributions of $SHRAP by curating and recommending their favorite player-made items.
