Spellborne, a monster-catching MMORPG, has announced an upcoming airdrop session for holders of its Apartments NFT. Mon Studios, the brain behind this game, highlighted this while announcing a restructural change concerning in-game assets. The gaming studio aims to modify the functionality of the Spellborne apartments collection within the game’s ecosystem.
Modifications of Spellborne Apartments Collection
Mon Studios will implement three major changes to the Spellborne Apartments collection: max supply reduction, token airdrop allocation, and guaranteed whitelist for future mints.
Starting with the maximum supply, Mon Studios has capped the maximum supply of Apartments NFT at 3333 units. The supply is distributed across various sizes: Small (1,501 units), Medium (1,055 units), Large (555 units), and Penthouses (222 units).
Currently, Spellborne Apartment NFT has a total secondary market supply of 2,902 at a floor price of 0.2326 ETH. The team has decided to randomly distribute the remaining 431 apartments among players in the upcoming seasons of Spellborne.
Meanwhile, these modifications aim to transform the Spellborne Apartments NFT into a passive in-game item providing players with management features, rewards, etc.
There will be an ecosystem token (ERC20) airdrop for all players holding apartment units as a medium to kickstart the game economy. The allocation to each player depends on factors like the size of the apartment, time held, and other contributing factors.
Over 50% of the total token supply has been allocated to community incentives like liquidity rewards, game funds, etc. Interestingly, apartment unit holders and Spellborne Season 1 players will get a 7% share of the total supply.
Despite these rewards, holders of Spellborne Apartments NFT will receive periodic in-game rewards like limited edition skins, item chests, etc.
Meanwhile, Spellborne will utilize $BORNE, an ecosystem token built by the Borne Gaming Foundation. The token is designed to foster adoption and decentralization among video games. Surprisingly, the monster-catching MMORPG is the first game to utilize the $BORNE token within its ecosystem.
Finally, Mon Studios will give holders of its Spellborne Apartments NFT guaranteed access to future mints (free and paid) for several games, including Guardian of Celestia.
Spellborne supports social interactions among players through various means, including Guilds and Tournaments. While Guilds allow players to interact in groups of 50, Tournaments give players access to PvP battles, including team-created tournaments like Alliance Wars and Showdown, as well as player-created tournaments. Only apartment holders have access to these social interaction platforms.
