Quick Take
- Guild System Playtest runs September 30 to October 3 with a 3M $WYRM prize pool.
- Wyrm Tribute starts at 2000 $RON and scales with in-game gold contributions.
- Leaderboards track guild, solo, referral, and sponsorship performance.
A New Phase for Calamity
Calamity returns at the end of September with a playtest that spotlights its new Guild System, continuing the shift toward a real in-game economy first outlined in June. The test runs from September 30 at 10 AM UTC through October 3 at 1 PM UTC and introduces both a 3 million $WYRM prize pool and a Wyrm Tribute pool beginning at 2000 $RON.
Calamity is a 2D, pixel-styled MMORPG built on the Ronin Network. Its design mixes PvE dungeon raids, boss fights, and PvP combat with a player-driven economy built on tokenized assets. Gold earned in-game can be converted into cryptocurrency during special events like this playtest, forming the backbone of Calamity’s play-to-earn model.

How the Guild System Works
Guilds can support up to 75 members and are structured around Sponsors, Scholars, and leadership roles. Sponsors deposit Gold into a treasury, which Leaders and Officers manage to provide Season Passes and playtime resources for Scholars. In return, Sponsors receive a share of the Gold that Scholars generate through gameplay.
Performance across the ecosystem feeds into multiple leaderboards:
- Guild Leaderboard ranks collective performance, distributing $WYRM rewards to the top groups.
- Valor Solo Leaderboard recognizes individual combat and dungeon results.
- Fame Leaderboard covers referrals.
- Sponsor Leaderboard tracks treasury contributions.
This layered system creates opportunities to earn across both collective and individual achievements, while also incentivizing recruitment and guild management.

Rewards and Economy
The Guild System Playtest distributes 3 million $WYRM tokens across its leaderboard structure. Alongside this, the Wyrm Tribute begins at 1 million Gold (about 2000 $RON) and grows with more participation. To access Tribute rewards, a Season Pass is required and available directly in-game for 2000 Gold, or provided by guild treasuries to sponsored accounts.
Gold converts into $RON during the playtest at a rate of 500 Gold per 1 $RON. Earning at least 500 Gold is required to qualify for Tribute payouts. Additional rewards are available through the purchase of Factory NFTs, which can be bought with Gold and unlock further $WYRM allocations and in-game advantages.
Building Toward Token Launch
This playtest continues the transition that began in June, when Calamity announced the official WYRM token launch and the arrival of staking, trading, and sink systems. The broader roadmap introduced a fixed exchange rate between Gold and USD, performance-based distribution, NFT integration, and social minigames in city hubs.
Season One will be the first full chapter to operate entirely on $WYRM, with token utility spanning PvP wagers, expeditions, and trading systems. The Guild Playtest is positioned as the bridge between earlier incentivized stress tests and a fully realized economy.
With 3 million $WYRM tokens on the line and the Wyrm Tribute adding $RON rewards, the Guild System Playtest represents the most ambitious economic test Calamity has staged so far. It builds on months of updates, positioning the Ronin-based MMORPG for its next chapter with a real economy and token-driven gameplay.
