Fishing Frenzy Season 2: New Horizons begins with a wider net, opening the latest chapter in the cozy Ronin-based game that blends idle mechanics, player economies, and digital collectibles. This season runs for ten weeks and introduces several updates to gameplay systems, leaderboards, and loot mechanics.
Major Updates in Fishing Frenzy Season 2
The centerpiece of Fishing Frenzy Season 2 is Bloom Lagoon, a limited-time zone that allows fishing for new species and ingredients, which tie into an expanded recipe system. New partner-themed pets are also available in this zone. Fishing Frenzy has announced collaborations with other games developing on the Ronin Network, including Axie Infinity, Runiverse, Fableborne, Pixels, Pirate Nation, and Lumiterra. These partnerships are reflected in cosmetic items and collectible pet drops tied to each title.
A core mechanic, now reworked in Fishing Frenzy Season 2, is the rod system. New rods include a “Luck” stat, which can trigger random drops like sushi, gold, or Lucky Chests. Lucky Chests have a chance to appear with any successful catch and can be opened at the end of the season for additional rewards.
Leaderboards have also been segmented. Players in VIP1 and VIP2+ tiers now compete in separate pools, a move intended to reduce botting and ensure more equitable distribution of prizes. Horizon Points earned from the battle pass have been reduced, while points gained from leaderboard placement have been increased. According to the developers, this rebalances progression to favor active gameplay over passive accumulation.

The battle pass itself has been restructured, with a new slate of pets, chests, and high-value items on offer. Sushi remains the core consumable currency and appears more frequently across different reward pathways this season.
Returning players who either spent at least 20 RON in Season 1 or held an unlisted Founder’s Pass have received a Horizon Rod, which increases the odds of finding Lucky Chests. Progress from Frenzy Points, VIP status, and referrals has carried over into the new season.
Fishing Frenzy Season 2 is now live, and all updates are active as of this week’s reset. The Bloom Lagoon zone will remain open for a limited time during the early portion of the season.
Creator Dashboard Now Live for Fishing Frenzy Season 2
The Fishing Frenzy creator dashboard has officially launched, offering a live hub to track tweet performance, referral progress, and in-game creator quests.
